Accordion virtuoso/composer Nick Ariondo with cellist Janice Foy captured here following their dynamic performance of Ariondo's "Gypsy Fantasy" during the Sierra Chamber Players' concert June 18 at the Mount Wilson Observatory. The rest of the program featured Shelly Cohen's arrangement of Holst's "The Planets", Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik", Ariondo's "Tango Indo-Serene" and Schoenberg's "Transfigured Night". The event was a special Father Day's program sponsored by a grant from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission and the Recording Industries' Music Performance Trust Funds through Local 47.
