This is an example of one of the many combinations of musical groups with the tamburitza instrument plus the double bass.  The men are in native costume and the singer reflects one of the areas within the Croatian republic.  In the background is the Croatian flag - red, white and blue with a red star.  This picture reflects a flag before gaining their recent independence from Yugoslavia, so there is probably a new rendition of this flag.

Here is the picturesque Adriatic at sunset taken from a boat tour I had near the area where Marco Polo was born.  I heard that he was Croatian -anyone want to check this out for me?
